Linda Anousta talks about the Anousta Shower Gels and naturally handmade soap.

    Lime and Verbena Shower Gel

Make your shower a mouth watering awakening with the refreshing, tingling zest of citrus.

The unique combination of two very gentle cleansers imported from France and Germany is blended to create a soft, non-skin drying shower gel that leaves the skin soft and supple.

The therapeutic properties of Lime pure Essential Oil are refreshing and uplifting. One of the external uses of Lime pure Essential Oil is to help clear up pimples. Lime Oil also opens up the bronchial tubes and helps breathing. Since Lime Essential Oil is naturally disinfecting and cleansing, it is an excellent addition to your bath or shower gel.

Also recommended for Eczema sufferers and doesn't leave leaves any after-shower feeling of taughtness or dryness.
    Frankincense and Orange

Mysterious and calming. A unique blend of two of beautiful scents invokes the promise of mystical eastern nights.

Frankincense is known for its tonic effect upon the skin. It also helps to restore tone

It has been used for thousands of years for its calming effect on the emotions and it is also known to slow down the appearance of wrinkles. The name Frankincense itself derives from mediaeval French meaning "real incense"

Essential Oil of Sweet Orange gives a warm and rounded feel to this shower gel. The properties of Orange include anti-depressant, antispasmodic and mildly sedative.

    The Main Ingredients of Perfume

     The Main Ingredients of Perfume

    Image via Wikipedia

Perfume can have a hundred or a thousand ingredients depending on the perfumer's choice. Perfumers know the correct ingredients to give perfumes the proper qualities, Longevity, Proper Intensity and a full-bodied and marketable scent. However for practice purposes, hobbyists can start with the four main groups of ingredients:

    Primary Scents

Primary scents consist of one or chosen few ingredients that are used to translate a certain classic or natural concept such as 'Rose', 'Jasmine' or 'Lavender' perfume.

One can also use multiple ingredients in order to translate an abstract concept such as 'cola' or 'rain'. These themes will be the base elements of a perfume.

Marketers will guide you on what primary scents to use. If you're looking for a scent that will sell, decide on what market you'd like to target. Would you like to target the teeny boppers? Then perhaps 'Bubble Gum' is a great abstract concept to experiment with. How much do you want to sell it for? This will determine the quality of your ingredients and more importantly, what ingredients you will be able to put in your perfume. Minerals or animal sources may be a little expensive for your scope. Do you want it to be trendy or classic? Synthetic chemicals are a great way to add that modern and trendy 'it' factor in your perfume.

    Modifiers

Modifiers are scents added to a perfume to provide body and a distinct accent to the primary scent. Primary scents without modifiers will most likely end up too flat or strong. This will cloister the wearer and will not be very effective overall.

Melon Jasmine Cologne, for example, can be a winning combination that provides a tint of both perfume characteristics. It's a well balanced mix of fruity and floral. The cherry in cherry cola will provide the same effect. For some wearers, it is the subtle hint of these modifiers that make them want to buy the perfume.

    Blenders

Blenders are chemicals used to combine the modifiers and primary scents together as smoothly as possible. Because primary scents and modifiers have different layers, blenders sort of act as emulsifiers to the two. Examples are hydroxycitronellal and linalool, a natural alcohol found in many flowers and plants.

    Fixatives

Fixatives are supporting scents of the primary scents. They boost and stabilize the scents. This is the final ingredient in pulling the perfume together. Without this, ingredients tend to break apart. Wood Scents and amber bases are good examples.
