2 Dont Use Antibacterial Soap, Or Overuse AntibioticsPeople are dying from MRSA bacteria as the result of the overuse of antibiotics and antibacterial agents in soap, detergents and toothpaste.

Antibacterial soap has also been linked to cancer, upsets hormones including thyroid, and contaminates breast milk.

Some 72% of all liquid soap sold in the United States now contains antibacterial ingredients, as do many toothpastes.

People who use antibacterial soaps and cleansers develop bacterial-born illnesses just as often as people who use products that do not contain antibacterial ingredients.

This video mentions that it is natural for certain bacteria to be on our skin. Unlike what we've been taught, bacteria is not our enemy. Children exposed to bacteria in early childhood actually have stronger immune systems.

Bacteria only becomes uncontrollable when our immune systems are suppressed by a lack of nutrition, stress, too little sleep and of course prescription drugs, which purposely suppress immunity.

Over 95% of the time that antibiotics are prescribed it is for viruses such as colds and flu, despite the fact that this is futile - but it is big business.

Bacteria fights back against attacks from antibiotics and antibacterial agents found in household products, and the result is "super bugs."

The best way to stay healthy is to eat healthy and take high quality nutritional supplements. Get enough sleep, sunshine, and eliminate stress as much as possible.

Antibacterial soaps bring in $16 billion per year for their makers, despite the fact that they don't work and are dangerous.

All-natural soaps are great. You can get them at Whole Foods or health food stores. I like to buy soaps whose labels I can read and understand. Olive and lavender oil are some possible ingredients, for example.

If you can't find all-natural detergents at your health food store, try online companies such as Sunrider.

Hi! I make soaps & bath products myself, and there are several online sites I use. I make soaps using melt & pour bases, so that's what I'm most familiar with. Here are a few of my favorite sites for scents, ingredients, molds, etc.

300px Perfume shelf 536pix Matching Your Perfume with Your Personality

Image via Wikipedia

Matching Your Perfume with Your Personality

Your perfume is an extension of yourself. It will communicate to people what kind of person you really are even before you say or do anything. What you choose or how you choose depends on what kind of image you want to portray to the people around you. It is important to ponder upon whether the perfume is appropriate to whatever occasion you will attend or whether it is ideal for night or day time.

First off, one should realize that perfumes respond differently to different people. While it may smell nice on your friend, it may not smell nice on you. This is because perfumes actually mix with an individual's natural oils and will respond differently to each body chemistry. When choosing, always spritz a small amount on your skin and let it linger for about ten minutes. This is the appropriate amount of time it takes to let the perfume settle and to let the initial head note or the first scent impression of the perfume evaporate. What will remain is the middle note and the base note, the two strongest scents that will linger on the skin for hours or days. Don't try two scents at the same time or at the same spot. This will alter the composition of both scents.

Second, perfumes have six main categories: floral, fruity, oceanic, green, oriental and woody. Familiarize yourself with the scent. Different perfume companies will have alterations but people will always have preferences. Florals are very feminine and romantic. Fruity are more for girly and fresh. Oceanic are synthetic elements used to imitate the smell of the sea. Greens are those that remind you of nature, the outdoors, meadows and fresh air. Orientals are opulent heavy concoctions that are very spicy and lingering. Woody perfumes are those that remind the user of the forest and all things that come with it such as bark and moss. If you still cannot categorize your test to these categories, try other categories such as Amber, Leather, Chypre, Fougere (used in most men's fragrances), Citrus or Gourmand (dessert-like perfumes).

Use perfume to suit the occasion or the time of day. Floral and fruity are more suitable for day use. They are lighter and fresher. Greens can be used for those wearing casual wear. Orientals and Woody scents are more easily carried in the night time and by more mature users. It can also be isolated for special occasions or formal wear.

Knowing this, one should not go through the age old practice of using one perfume alone. It is best to try a variety of each in order to find which one suits you and the occasion best.

Soap, Drugs, & Rock and Roll

This is the incredible true story of the Germ and Soap Company that teamed up to fight drug charges. David Bronner President of Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps shows how natural soaps test positive for the date rape drug GHB using police field kits while detergent based fake soaps always test negative. You got to watch it to believe it.

I just got a book on how to make candles and soaps and I have no idea where to find the soap bases, scents, and colors for the soap making and the wax, color, wick, and scents for the candle making. Can anyone help me?!

Candle Making is fun, I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

I advise to stay away for generalized hobby stores since they tend to have inconsistent quality and very high prices. Here is a good web site for finding suppliers in your state:

http://www.suppliersbystate.com/

I also recommend:

http://www.candlesandsupplies.com (they are in PA, but will ship)

Hope this helps!
