Your Shea butter looks refined (looks too smooth to be unrefined). My unrefined shea butter is darker yellow, coarser, and lumpy. But shea butter is a remarkable moisturizer.

I got some from butters-n-bars and it doesn’t sting at all, and I have sensitive dry skin.
It does dry me out a tiny bit though.

black soap can sting or irritate if used roughly…you have to not scrub with it but be very gentle. when i first started using it, my skin was all red and felt burnt, it was horrible so i tweeked how i used it and i dont use anything else. use less product and very gentle. if you use a spoogy thing even better.

it is unrefined and unscented. IT has a smell, which I cannot describe, but it’s not like dove soap, or like vanilla or peach scented. do you know what I mean? and no it definitely is not drying. my 10 year old uses it too.

Yeah it’s hard to tell, I have a cousin who went to Ghana and actually saw the soap and there are two kinds the one that is actually black, and then a brownish one, but they were both soft like puddy. I have this one that it is scented and it is rock hard so it’s probably not pure but I like to too.
