Question by suppered: Help, I need to find a name for my small candle and organic soap making business?
I want to start a small candle and organic soap making business from my home, however I am having the hardest time to find a name for the company. In addition to making candles and soap, I will also be selling scented sheets, towels, bath salts, lotions, and shampoo. Any Ideas.

Question by Snejana: How to start soap making business?
I want to start a soap-making business online, but after reading up on it there is a lot of information about insuring the business. Does every online shop need this? Is it safe to sell soaps without the insurance?

It's really not all that complicated. You shop around a little bit for an insurance agent. They do all the leg work and will probably suggest an LLC. That is a Limited Liability Company. It basically means that if someone decides to sue you, they can only come after your company for money but not your personal assets. We live in a sue happy society, I personally would not want to be without insurance.

Question by sweet12e: What kind of soap making is better to do if you want to go into business ?
I want to go into the soap making business. I've been doing research on the internet and have order some books being that I'm a beginner and have no experience. My quesiton is what method should I use? I've read about melt and pour and cold process and hot process but I'm not sure which one is best for a small business. I want to sell other things besides soap such as bath and body products jewelry, and candles. I'm a beginner to everything so I need all the help I can get. Any advice would be appriciated.

I would go for the cold process, it seems to make more sense and I like the soaps you can get from that.
